CAF Meetings and Inter-Clubs Competitions draw set for May 15th 2012

The Confederation of African Football will conduct the inter-clubs competitions draw on May 15, 2012 at its headquarter in Egypt.

The Inter-Clubs competitions are the Orange CAF Champions League and the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.

 

The drawing of lots of the group matches of the 16^th Edition of the Orange CAF Champions League 2012 as well as the 2^nd 1/8^th finals and the group matches of the 9^th Edition of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup will take place on the 15^th of May 2012 at 14:00 at CAF headquarters in Cairo.

 

The final of the Orange CAF Champions League will be played between November 2 and November 4, 2012 for the first leg, and between November 9 and November 11, 2012 for the second leg. The champion of this competition will represent Africa in the FIFA World Cup in Japan 2012.

 

The Esperance Sportive de Tunis is the current champions of the Orange CAF Champions League and MAS of Fes won the 2011 edition of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.

 

Prior to the draw, four committees, namely:  the CAF Disciplinary Board, the CAF Organizing Committee for the Inter-Clubs Competitions, theReferees’ Committee and the Executive Committee, will hold their respective meetings to examine, among other issues, reports on matches being played since the beginning of the year.
